Help shape the first chapter.

This programme is in development. The Odawara premises, operating permissions, insurer acceptance and commercial terms must be confirmed before any car is accepted or rented. We are collecting enquiries only—not deposits or investment funds.

01 — A SHARED PASSION

Your car.
Local hands.

The proposed model: an individual vehicle agreement,
with JAJA responsible for day-to-day rental operations.

ALREADY OWN A CAR IN JAPAN?

Give it a new chapter.

Have a roadworthy sports car or JDM model you would consider renting out? Share its story, condition and availability. We will discuss whether it fits a carefully selected pilot fleet.

DREAMING OF OWNING ONE?

Explore the idea first.

If you live abroad and are considering a car in Japan, start with a feasibility conversation. Ownership, registration, insurance and costs need to be resolved before you buy.

Discuss overseas ownership ↗
01

Meet & assess

Review the owner, vehicle, service history, modifications, finance restrictions and expectations.

02

Agree the details

Confirm legal structure, insurer terms, cost allocation, permitted use and exit arrangements in writing.

03

Prepare in Odawara

Complete registration and checks, then hand over to the agreed base with a signed condition and mileage record.

04

Operate & report

JAJA manages the agreed rental workflow and provides vehicle-level statements and care records.

Participation would not automatically grant shares in JAJA. The vehicle's legal owner, registered user and rental operator must be expressly identified. The arrangement requires professional review; calling it a partnership does not determine its legal classification.

02 — CARE IS PART OF THE AGREEMENT

Leave the daily details
with a local operator.

Proposed services, to be specified in each agreement.
Owners approve the scope and costs before joining.

01 / HOME BASE

A dedicated place in Odawara

A defined parking space, controlled key access and vehicle records. The exact site, indoor/outdoor conditions, security measures and flood exposure remain to be assessed.

02 / PRESENTATION

Clean, checked, ready

Cleaning between rentals, photographed handovers, recorded mileage and routine checks. Servicing and repairs coordinated with suitable workshops, with approval limits agreed in advance.

03 / RENTAL OPERATIONS

People, bookings & handovers

Listings, enquiries, licence checks, rental agreements and return inspections. Driver eligibility, manual-driving requirements and deposits would follow the agreed rental and insurer rules.

04 / OWNER VISIBILITY

A record you can follow

Monthly statements showing collected rental income, deductions, mileage, maintenance and incidents. Owner-use dates and notice periods must be booked under the same insurance and scheduling controls.

03 — UNDERSTAND THE PROTECTION

Clear cover.
Clear responsibilities.

Each car needs written insurer acceptance.
No vehicle is described as “fully insured” here.

Our proposed onboarding rule is simple: no handover into the programme until the insurer and owner have agreed what is covered, what is excluded and who pays any shortfall. A private-use policy should never be assumed to cover commercial rentals.

Area to confirmWhat the proposed agreement must address
People & third-party propertyCompulsory insurance plus commercial rental liability and occupant injury cover. Seek unlimited bodily-injury and third-party property limits where offered; these are proposed targets, not confirmed coverage.
The owner's vehicleCollision, single-car damage, theft, fire and weather cover; vehicle valuation, modifications, deductibles, total-loss settlement, salvage and the person entitled to claim proceeds.
Storage & staff movementsWhat applies while parked, cleaned, transported, test-driven or moved by staff, and whether separate custody or business liability cover is needed.
Driver eligibilityApproved licence types, age and experience limits, overseas visitors, additional drivers, owner use and staff use—all confirmed for the selected policy.
Exclusions & difficult claimsAsk specifically about renter fraud/non-return, unauthorised drivers, track use, earthquake/tsunami, mechanical failure, wear and clutch damage. Do not assume theft cover includes fraudulent non-return.
Costs after an incidentDeductible payer, towing, uninsured repairs, loss of use, diminished resale value and recovery from renters. A renter's non-operation charge is a contractual charge, not a guarantee of insurance payment or full lost-income recovery.
Cover follows the policy—not the headline.

Insurers can distinguish the policyholder, insured user and vehicle owner; those identities must be disclosed. An insurer's general guidance about different owners does not establish acceptance of this rental programme. Read insurer guidance ↗

Standard cover can exclude earthquake and tsunami losses, and optional payments may be limited. Every exclusion and available endorsement needs a written review for the actual fleet. Example insurer guidance ↗

04 — A CONNECTION TO JAPAN

Live abroad.
Explore ownership
in Japan.

English廣東話日本語

We welcome conversations with enthusiasts overseas who are considering buying a car to keep in Japan. Eligibility will be reviewed case by case; this is not an open investment product.

A possible structure to investigate is a separately owned vehicle made available to a licensed Japanese rental operator under a reviewed lease or operating agreement. We cannot yet promise that any particular non-resident ownership or registration arrangement will be accepted.

  • Confirm legal ownership, registration documents and a lawful Japanese operating base before purchase.
  • Review Japanese and home-country tax, any withholding, remittance fees and exchange-rate exposure.
  • Check identity, payment source and applicable cross-border rules with qualified advisers.
  • Agree who owns the car, pays its bills and can sell, withdraw or use it personally.

There is no guaranteed income, resale value, buyback or capital protection. Please do not purchase a car in reliance on acceptance into this programme.

05 — MAKE THE NUMBERS CLEAR

A transparent agreement.
Before a commitment.

No published return targets or preset income split.
The right terms depend on the car and actual costs.

Define the payment model

A vehicle lease fee or vehicle-specific revenue-linked arrangement may be considered after legal and financial review. Neither model is currently offered. The contract must define the calculation and payment timing.

Make every deduction visible

Separate rental receipts from refundable deposits and insurance proceeds. Agree treatment of taxes, refunds, booking fees, management fees, parking, insurance, servicing, tyres and repair reserves.

Plan for quiet months

Low utilisation, downtime and major repairs can produce a loss. Rental mileage can reduce value. Agree how shortfalls are funded; a car with no bookings can still incur storage and insurance costs.

Before signing, we would agree:

Ownership and lender consent · rental authority · care standards · expenses and approval limits · mileage and permitted use · incident procedure · deductible allocation · monthly reporting · owner-use bookings · termination notice · outstanding bookings · final settlement · return or sale of the car · insolvency and recovery arrangements.
